Shot in the space of just twenty four hours, "An Ending" tells the story of Dylan Sherrard's last few moments of Fall riding before Winter sets in to Kamloops, BC.

Ryan Leech has ridden mountain bikes professionally for over sixteen years now; over that time he has been responsible for creating a whole new style of trials mountain biking, performing live in front of tens of thousands of fans and pushing the boundaries of what was considered possible on a bike.

The second in the "Why?" series exploring questions within the bike industry, this short documentary was created as a companion piece to Ryan's article, "The Cons Of Being Pro", in which he discusses the pressures involved in performing at such a high level, how they can affect an athlete's perception of themselves and how they could change.

The Canadian Open DH race in Whistler would be mostly unremarkable if it weren't for Heckle Fest, a tradition that sees all manner of spectators drawn together by three things - heckling, racing and a lack of shirts on the rock.

Here's three tips to avoid becoming a victim of the seemingly cruel yet good natured crowds.

The role of official photographer for the whole of Crankworx is a mixed blessing - on the one hand you get premium access to the best Whistler has to offer for those nine days, but on the other it's a long, hard and stressful job that takes nerves of steel and stamina to match.

Thankfully Blake Jorgenson is up to the job. In his second year on the run, he's dialled in a system that works and produces great results. Having been in the same position myself a couple of years earlier, I was keen to shadow him for a day of shooting the festival's main event - the Joyride slopestyle contest - to portray behind the scenes of what it's like to have to shoot and submit images that become the official record of the day.

Norco Bicycles were redesigning their popular all-mountain "Range" model and wanted a way to explain the process, from the mouths of those most involved with its production - the engineers.

The resulting video blends interviews, behind the scenes at Norco HQ and riding action out on the trails.

The first in a series of short web videos produced for Yukon-based tour company Boréale Mountain Biking.

Boréale were looking for a relaxed, easy-going vibe that would attract clients who might otherwise have thought their trips were too "extreme".

To promote National Drowning Prevention Week and remind beach-goers of the inherent dangers of being around water, the Lifesaving Society of BC & Yukon created a sand sculpture depicting the aftermath of a drowning scene at Kitsilano Beach in Vancouver.

To be released in October 2012, the mini-film will follow several riders who had spent the winter training, planning, and preparing for summer, but as the summer just got into swing found themselves crippled and lame, throwing all that hard work away.

Not everything in the world of biking is sunshine and lollipops - what about the troubles, the failure, the seemingly unsurmountable challenges? Behind every rider there lies a world of anguish and pain, tests and strains, and summons to fail.

This project is not intended to celebrate the dark side of biking but rather pull into focus the motivation for doing it in the first place. We only know what light is by understanding the dark.

Dan Gronross has lived in British Columbia for eight years, and for the longest time rode mountain bikes exclusively, much of it in Whistler's Bike Park, until a bad accident changed his outlook on the sport. Here's WHY he rides road bikes now.

Arthur Gaillot, Chris Johnston and Dylan Wolsky recently joined together to create "The Nomads", a team looking to tackle a punishing schedule of enduro mountain bike races around the globe.
